Looking for a modern and eccentric hair transformation? Silver hair extensions should be on the top of your list!
Silver hair gained massive popularity among celebrities and influencers last year, and the trend still seems to be going strong in 2019. The beauty of this color trend is that it complements a multitude of hairstyles, which means that your styling possibilities are virtually endless.
Here are some of our favorite hairstyling ideas to try with silver hair extensions, for a chic and elegant look.
Front Row Braids
Front row braids look absolutely incredible on silver hair and are perfect for occasions where you want to keep your hair away from your face.
Start by parting your hair from the middle. Grab three small sections of your hair from the point closest to your part-line and form a Dutch braid by crossing the outer sections underneath the middle.
Incorporate more strands of hair into the outer sections as you proceed and stop once your braid reaches the top of your ear. Secure the ends behind your ear with bobby pins. Repeat the same process on the other side and you’re good to go!
Double Braided Bun
This glamorous hairstyle should be your go-to style for a fancy night out. Begin by teasing your hair from the crown. Next, divide your hair into two sections and form two low ponytails on each side.
Split each ponytail into two more sections and form a rope braid by twisting these sections and wrapping them around each other. Secure the braids at the bottom with an elastic band and follow the same steps for the other side.
Once your hair is braided, bring your right rope braid to the left side, wrap it over your left braid, and bring it back to the right to form a circle. Secure the ends with a bobby pin and repeat the same process for left rope braid. Secure all loose ends in place and your up-do is complete!
The half-up fishtail braid is one hairstyle that’ll certainly complement the cool, gray tones of your hair and can help you create a statement look with minimum effort. Start off by gathering the top half of your hair and form a ponytail at your crown.
Make sure that the elastic you use to secure your ponytail in this step is small or old, as it’ll be cut-off later. Next, form a fishtail braid by splitting your ponytail into two sections and combining a small piece of hair from the outer side of the left section with a similar piece from the inner side of the right section. Continue crossing sections until your braid is done. Secure the braid with an elastic and carefully cut-off the one at the top.
